PROJECT TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS

In 2010, Project Paz promoted and supported the development

of community groups established in underdeveloped neighborhoods of Ciudad Juarez, México. The purpose was to provide community members the power to control their own decision-making and resources. By the endof 2011, this initiative closed with 23 community groups composed of 230 people, which have benefited about 690 people during the two years of support and training offered.

EXPANDING CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (ADN)

In 2011, the Project Paz funds were implemented to support

ADN program: Ampliando el Desarrollo de los Niños (Expanding Children’s Development), which provides extra curricular activities to develop cognitiveand physical abilities of children in underprivileged neighborhoods. As of July 2012, the organization has benefited 1,304 children reaching 84% of its 2012 goal.
