EXPANDING CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT

Programa ADN - Ampliando el Desarrollo de los Niños

This program provided balanced nutritious meals along with artistic, physical, and cultural activities. This model complements children’s learning and develops the skills and competencies they need to succeed. (b) Causes a positive impact on society as a whole and is changing the life prospects of children who are in vulnerable conditions and are unable to integrate fully to society due to deficiencies in the educational system, health care centers, and scarce recreational and cultural spaces.

After an extensive selection process in which the most efficient and trustworthy nongovernmental organizations in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico were considered, Project Paz chose to donate the funds to the Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense, FECHAC(Foundation of Chihuahua Entrepreneurs). All Project Paz funds were implemented to specifically support FECHAC’s ADN program: Ampliando el Desarrollo de los Niños (Expanding Children’s Development), which provides extracurricular activities to develop cognitive and physical abilities of underprivileged children.

ANALYSIS

During the first quarter, organizations focused on the registration of children and adolescents in elementary and middle schools. Once results are released, the projects’ administration goal is re-settled to benefit 6 social organizations by implementing ADN’s Model in 12 schools; incorporating 1,550 children and adolescents to the model.
